Making Day

Saturday 9th May 10am to 4pm

Exploring handbuilding with Ann Ferguson and Sandra Bowkett.

It is intended a sense of place will impact on the made forms and surfaces. The immediate environment could be a focus.

Ann has developed a unique range of handbuilding techniques, surface and colouring treatments.

Sandra’s handbuilt work has focused on finely made pinched vessels.

The woodfiring, on the 23rd May, using locally found timber will impart a final statement to your pieces.

Max 10 participants

Previous experience of working with clay is not necessary.

Each participant could have a maximum 30 x 30 x 30 cm kiln space.

Cost $350 includes all materials, firing, making day food and drinks

Firing Day

Saturday 23rd May from 10 am with the option to stay until the firing finishes approx 10pm

byo firing food to share during the day, dinner provided.

All pieces will be woodfired and not dependent on attending this firing day.

Getting there.

Train from Melbourne- could be collected from the Tallarook railway station.

Driving to the studio- 4WD and driving confidence an advantage.

Alternatively meet on the corner of Landscape Road and Upper Goulburn Road to be collected and driven to the studio.
